Hi there, Someone on the list was researching the surname CARR. I was wondering if you had a birth date and a marriage date for Ella May CARR who married George SCOTT. From my calculation, Ella was b.a. 1873 and married George around 1890. TIA Joanne
Hi Joanne, Me again - the one telling you about the books at the Arnprior Library - I'm also the list member I think you are referring to researching the Carr family. I don't know of an Ella May Carr, but that might only mean she is as yet undiscovered by me, not necessarily unconnected. Do you know if your Carrs were Irish? Or if they were Catholic or Protestant? It was a very big family, so your Ella could come from a branch I do not know of yet. You see William Carr (abt. 1800-1896) & Margaret Larrett came to Fitzroy Twp. about 1835 with daughter, Elizabeth, & then had 15 more children here! One son, John A. Carr, had 14 children! One of these was Frances Elizabeth Carr, my husband's grandmother. Do you have any more info. to go by?
