    1. [CAN-ONT-CARLETON] LEAKE burial

    3. I am hoping someone would please be able to help me by looking up a cemetery listing for me. I have received a Death Reg. for gt grandfather GEORGE LEAKE who died Jan 26, 1902, age 78, in Ottawa. In the OCFA listings there is a George Leake listed as buried in the Beechwood Ottawa cemetery (1901- 1930) with the reference OT 93-02. I am wondering if it is our George. I am sure I have the correct death Reg. after much searching, but he died separated from the rest of the family who by this time were living in Lanark Co. It is noted in the Reg, that he died in a "home for the aged" of acute diarrhoea. I am wondering if anyone might know what the name of such a home might be? there was no address given other than Ottawa. The family had little money so I am puzzled as to how they might pay for this, and what the circumstances of his placement were. He was a Baptist, so would not have been in a Catholic sponsored home. any information would be most appreciated. We live in BC, but are planning a trip to the area soon, so would like to sort this out.
