Members of Parliament and Senators are in their home ridings at present and we also have six or seven newly-elected Members of Parliament. WHO will be the first one to send an answer from one of these???? [That would be interesting -- Gordon Watts has not updated the page yet!] Members of Parliament:- http://www.globalgenealogy.com/Census/Index6.htm We find totals as follows: FOR/POUR = 153; AGAINST/CONTRE = 6; Non-Committal/Indécis = 60 and No Response/Pas de Réponse = 75 The totals were given as of May 9th and do not add in the newly elected Members of Parliament. Senators:- http://www.globalgenealogy.com/Census/Senscore1.htm Totals: For = 33; Against = 3; Non-Committal = 18 and No Response = 43 In both House of Commons and Senate, I am afraid of the NO RESPONSE totals -- could we all work together and lessen these numbers, bringing more support in both Houses of Parliament? Reason:- WHEN (and I am thinking positively) Senator Lorna Milne's S-12 Bill is passed in the Senate, it goes to House of Commons. Let's not bother about any except the BLUE ???? -- go to above sites and check for YOUR MP or Senator -- if you have FAX facilities, use them!!!!! PLEASE forget about the 1881 Census for several days -- it will keep -- but if YOU do not help, you may never see the 1911 census!
