I believe they are members of the Anglican Church there. Certainly thee are Langford's in the Anglican Church Cemetery just outside of Carleton Place. It was a fairly usual name in the community. He was a soldier in the 7th Canadian Cavalry Field Ambulance (Canadian Cavalry Brigade) in WWI. He fought in France and received the Military Medal for evacuation of wounded during the Battle of Rifle Wood on April 1, 1918.
