Hi folks :) I am trying to find my ggf's family in the Ottawa area, in the 1911 census. From what I can see on the electoral district maps, it appears that the Hurdman's Bridge area is in Russell County not Carleton County. I realize that is the topic area for a list for Russell County, but I can't find one! I am hoping someone on this list might be able to help, if they know the Ottawa area well. I have heard that my ggf lived just off the Russell Road somewhere, but no one can remember the name of the lane they were on. I have been told it was about 3 miles for them to walk to the Church of the Ascension, walking down the railway tracks. I have also been told the area has been called Archville or Ramsayville? I did try the Ramsayville area in the 1911 census under Russell County, Gloucester township, but no luck. Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions that might point me in the right direction to look? I am going buggy eyed from scanning tons of those old pages from the census. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks Marilyn Zavadiuk ( my ggf Martin Trewhitt arrived in Canada 1908-1909? through Halifax, Nova Scotia, from a starting destination of Dover, Kent, England) Back up my hard drive? How do I put it in reverse? __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? Tired of spam? Yahoo! Mail has the best spam protection around http://mail.yahoo.com
