    1. [CAN-ONT-CARLETON] [LL] Fundraising concert in Ottawa for St. John's
    2. Muriel M. Davidson
    3. Lunen Links List members within driving distance of Ottawa might want to attend a concert at Christ Church Cathedral this Sunday afternoon. Here's the information about it that appeared in this week's pew bulletin: "A benefit concert in aid of St. John's Anglican Church in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia will be presented at Christ church Cathedral at 2 P.M., Sunday, November 25th. Ottawa's young artists will join well-known performers in a 70-minute eclectic program sure to satisfy all music tastes. The program, all on a nautical theme, features the music of Brahms, Handel, familiar Canadian Maritime tunes in solo performances by Sarah Shropshire and Chelsea Honeyman, sopranos and a very interesting medley of sea songs played on bagpipes by Canon William Fairlie. Instrumental music by the Lisgar String Quartet and cellist Greg Weeks rounds out the program. St. John's Anglican Church, the second oldest Protestant church in British North America, was destroyed by fire on Hallowe'en night. Free will offering. Information at (613) 236-9149." [Donations of $10 or more will be receipted for income tax purposes if submitted in the envelopes (found in the pews) completed with necessary name and address information.] Hope to see you there!
