These are the people I'm looking for: Stewart, Peter and Christian, came from Scotland on the ship 'Dorothy' 1815. Lived at Breadalbane, Glengarry, Ontario. Sample, Samuel received a land grant from George IV, names daughter Mary Ann as his heir. wife (?) was Jane Lees. He died in 1841 in Goulbourn. Beyer, Ferdinand came to US from Switzerland early 1800's. Lived at Carleton Place where he was part owner of the Gillies-Beyer Central Canada Machine Works at Carleton Place. One of his sons was Charles Werner Beyer. Is buried at Smiths Falls Also, could someone advise me of some places to do research in when my husband and I go to Toronto in November? Thanks. Susan K.
