Dear Carleton County List Members, Is there anyone who can help me with my ancestor, Catherine COLLINS? She was born about 1817 and married Daniel Caley/Kealy/Kelly (we're still working on that one) about 1838. They had several children baptized at St. Michael's, Corkery, up until 1850. Can anyone tell me if this Catherine was the child who arrived on the Stakesby with her family (father Cornelius) in 1823 as Peter Robinson Settlers? The Catherine Collins of our family line used six of the names that were used in the Collins family that arrived on the Stakesby. Their children's sponsors in baptism included Arthur, Daniel, and Ann Collins. I am eager to know if there is any connection. This family came from Glanmile, Cork, Ireland, and settled in Goulbourn Twp. Also, can anyone confirm who this Catherine married? I have information to share on this family after they left Canada. Peace, Jean
