Hello, I have just joined this list looking for- James David Robertson CAIRNS, born c 1893, Edinburgh, Scotland, son of Robert CAIRNS and Ellen BARKER married Elsie Louise SAMPSON on 24 Jul 1920 in Victoria, British Columbia, Canada. They later moved to Toronto and Ottawa . They had 2 sons named Norman & Bud. James was in the Royal Canadian Airforce in the RCAF Photographic Establishment from 1939 - 1947 with the rank of Wing Commander. His portrait,I have been told, hangs in the Photographic unit in Ottawa along with all the former commanding officers. Would they have any info of his death? His son Norman was also in the RCAF and his other son Bud was a paraplegic from an accident I am hoping to find the death dates of James David Robertson CAIRNS, and that of his wife Elsie Louise CAIRNS. They were Methodists as far as I know Is there any way I can find their death dates? What are the main cemeteries in Ottawa. Any online? Many thanks for any help Pat in Australia
