I am proud to have his work on my homepage. Muriel M. Davidson <[email protected]> Hi, I am pretty new to this list. Most of my research has to do with Nova Scotia, as I am working on my mothers line at the moment. My father on the other hand was born in Ottawa and his family though originally form England settled in Ottawa in the early 1900's, as well as his mother was French-Canadian from Hull, Quebec. I am looking for information on the following people. Though this research is recent like 1900-1980, I can't get back any furthur in england until I establish this recent research. I am looking for the obituaries of my great grandparents. Herbert George Smith, was born in 1875 in England, but who died in 1949 in Oxford Hills, Ontario which I figured out was in Charlton Count, or else I believe it is. Also his wife Mary Jane Matilda (Schroeter) Smith, who was also born in England in 1883, but who died in Oxford Mills in about 1979. I am also looking for information on the Desormeaux family who originally is from Quebec but my great-grandfather Edmond Dexormeaux died in Ottawa on May 7 1919, after falling from the roof of the "old" Crieghton Street School. He was married to a lady by the name of Belzora Sabourin. After this people are straightened out I can go back to Quebec and England for more information, but until I get thier vital stats and so on all down, i can;t do anything.
