Martha MCARTHUR was born about 1959 in Cumberland, Russell County. Her parents were John MCARTHUR and Ellen DALE. She ran a knitting factory in Ottawa for a number of years. I don't find her in the Ottawa city directories after 1890-91. I have been unable to find her in the census on either side of the border after that time so I wonder if she could have married. My sister met her in Seattle, Washington in 1929 so I know she was alive then. If someone has access to the Ontario marriage records I would appreciate a look-up for a marriage occuring around 1891.
