    1. [CAN-ONT-CARLETON] MIDDLETON and ATHERTON
    2. Nolan
    3. Hello, I am trying to find a marriage record or census records or even a directory listing for Robert Middleton and Clara ( Atherton ) Middleton, who resided in Britannia Bay township. Information on other Athertons or Middletons in the area, would be greatly welcomed, also. They married circa 1903, I believe. I would be delighted if anyone had access to any of the censuses for this area and would be willing to do a look-up. My interest is in eventually, getting in touch with descendants of Clara and Robert, whom, I've been told---via a man who forgot where he saw the post----that they are trying to locate others with info on this family. Additionally, I would be interested in learning a bit more about the Britannia Bat area, as I am not familiar with it, or its research sources. Thank-you, in advance for any information or advice that anyone will provide me with. Please email me at: [email protected] as I doubt that this "thread" would interest other posters. Best Regards, Kathy

    2. Duarte
    3. Hi Gwen, I had posted a reqest for info on McTiernan family last nite and it was my first posting. I am new to all this and want to start over. :o) Want to thank you for taking this on and having it so well organized. Also would like to say hello to everyone out there and hope we can help each other. I was in your archives last nite and noticed Mon, 9 Jul 2001 signed by yourself Gwen. :o) You mention in it that you have little information on the family surnames that you had listed and I notice one name was McTiernan (or just Tiernan). Gwen do you happen to still have that information? It would really be appreciated. I noticed in my searching that alot of the McTiernan/McTernan/McTernon/Tiernan families do not have gravemarkers too. :o( Wishing all A GREAT Day!! Take Care Gale from Whitby, Ont Canada

    3. Hello Gwen:- The listings are very nice, especially the EONTGEN one. However, many must not realize the problems to have the Post-1901 census records released -- I was subscribed to that list, but "dumped" because census information was not desired -- Muriel M. Davidson [email protected] Co-Chair, Canada Census Committee Hi all: For those of you interested in Russell county, (if there hasn't already been an answer given) it was once a part of not only Carleton county, but also Prescott county. 3. Hi! Re my message of Jan. 30th, concerning G.E.Willis - photography company - sorry I addressed this incorrectly. I don't send messages to lists often, so thanks for the reminder - I appreciate it! Perhaps someone on this list can provide me with a little information. Does this list pertain only to Carleton county (or is it Ottawa-Carleton?). I am attempting to locate descendants of my husband's ancestor, Rev. Asa Meech, after whom Meech Lake was named. I have been told that some of the descendants moved to the Vankleek Hill area, which I see (I think) on a map is in Prescott and Russell County (???). Should I perhaps be addressing my questions to another list? Any suggestions about this would be appreciated. Nancy
