He once owned a house in Dayton N S , previously owned by Jacob K Tedford Sr. a shoemaker. Samuel S Bain was also a shoemaker and was owner from 1841 to 1871. Have found Samuel's son Norman (1845-1877). Were there other children ? The house in Dayton is now "At the sign of the Whale". I lived there from 1934 to 1949 while it was owned by a Yarmouth Merchant Herm Gillis who owned a meat markrt on Main St. I am also interested in the parents of Nathan Bain of Chegoggin, born Aug. 1871, married Ina King, b. May 1873. I have found they had a dtr Dorothy who married 1928 Andrew Jackson Ricker. And Nathan had a son "Nate" born June 1908 and d. 1998 a ball player and worked at the YMCA. Can anyone tell me who Nathan's parents were ? I beleive he descends from Alexander 1st, the 8 year old shipwrecked survivor. Thanks Bernice Allen Thunder Bay Ont.
