First of all, as Admin of this list I would appreciate it if anyone responding would do so OFF LIST to the address below, as it is not strictly on topic for the list. I thank you for your cooperation in that respect. In a few words, my wife and I have talked about a trip to Yarmouth for some time now, and recently we decided to stop procrastinating and do it this summer. That is about as far as we have gotten so far, just deciding to do it, so now we are looking into some of the logistics of such a trip. To that end, I am asking any of you who happen to live there or have been there to share information (online or otherwise) on the following: 1. Lodging - A "bed and breakfast" or something similar in the Yarmouth area would suffice, as we will likely do little else there but sleep and be gone most of the day otherwise. 2. A local genealogical society - I have been wanting to join one there anyway, so now would be a good time to do it, though I will likely not be a frequent visitor to their meetings. 3. Resources, preferrably online, where I can gather information myself and do some early planning for the trip. 4. Anything else you feel might be helpful. We are currently planning on driving up from the Washington, D. C. area, but have not set any specific dates yet. July seems most likely at this point, but that is to be decided in the near future.
