Hurlbert, fell asleep in Jesus aged 69 years. Our sister's Christian life was true and beautiful. Her piety was of that quiet, unobstrusive character whose influence in the home and community is of the most wholesome kind. The memory of such a life will linger as a sweet fragance. She leaves a husband, five sons and two daughters to mourn the loss of a kind, loving wife and mother. The funeral service took place at the home, and many gathered to pay their tribute of respect to the departed and sympathize with the bereaved. >From the Baptist paper: Messenger and Visitor: 1897: Dec. 22nd issue
