Surnames: GREENE , GREEN Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/EQC.2ACI/843 Message Board Post: My ancestor,John Green(e) ,with his brothers Robert and (M ?,possibly Michael,Martin,James,Henry,Vincent, William) is listed as having "brought" or "brought" (legibility problem) a schooner at Yarmouth in 1775. At the time the three brothers were living in Boston area and trading between there and NS,NB, and on to Placentia,Nfld.,where they eventually settled permanently(John & Robert) in about late 1778,the third brother staying in either Boston or NS where they were known to also have homes of some sort. The family may have been from New Enlgand in early 1600s ( Some to Nfld, in mid-1600s). If anything rings a bell,please email me so I can add to the family tree. Thanks. Ward. wardgreene@hotmail.com
