MA. I am trying to link him to his Mass. family and cannot determine that. His 1st wife was Mary Brown, daughter of James Brown of Ipswich and one of the 1st grantees in Yarmouth, N.S. He and Mary are buried in Frost Park, Yarmouth, N.S. Thomas Dane's will on file in Yarmouth states that his second son, known as Thomas B. Dane, son of second wife Mary Barnard, is named Thomas Benjamin- not Thomas Barnard- I presume in honor of his mother's father, Benjamin Barnard- quite a revelation to me! Thomas B. and his mother, Jane Stoneman are buried in Mountain Cem. ,Yarmouth. The other child of the second wife is Maria, who married Eleazer Richan. Yarmouth Museum has portraits of Maria and Eleazer. Thomas Dane and 1st wife, Mary Brown also had only one son, James B. Dane- my g-g grandfather, and two daughters - Mary and Sophia. Could Thomas Dane- the 1st Dane in Yarmouth- and a Tinsmith in 1827 Canadian Census, be related to Thomas Dane a Boston silversmith in 1745,born in Ipswich 1726, died 1795??
