    1. Thank you all!!
    2. Erin Kelley
    3. Thanks to EVERYONE who responded to my e-mail for Kelleys in Nova Scotia!!! Eleanor, Brian, Priscilla, Malcolm, and Shirley, THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH!!! The info I have received has truly broken (dare I say EXPLODED!?) through my brick wall. Malcolm, I will order that CD you suggested. I have been researching my family tree since 1997, and this Kelley line has been my most stubborn brick wall. I think the dentist who pulled one of my teeth had an easier time than I have had (up until now), in researching this family line. Again, as always, any further info is always much appreciated. Thanks once again!!! Erin

    1. Kelley's in Yarmouth
    2. Erin Kelley
    3. Greetings fellow researchers! My quest for my Kelley line has led me here to Nova Scotia, Yarmouth County. I am searching for info on Daniel Kelley, who in the 1881 census was living in Chebogue, and in the 1901 census was living in Rockville (listed as "David"). Daniel was a farmer, and he and his family were Congregationalists. According to the 1901 census, Daniel was born on Oct. 4, 1829. I would like to know how and where I could find info regarding Daniel's birth, death, and marriage, which would (hopefully) name his parents, where they came from, etc.. As I live in the U.S., going to the source is somewhat problematic. I will not take up the list's time with further details which I have on this family, but if folks wish to e-mail me directly, that would be just great. Any help or suggestions would be greatfully appreciated. Thank you, Erin Kelley Santa Rosa, CA U.S.A. Surnames: Healy, Haley Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/EQC.2ACI/711.1.2 Message Board Post: I am doing some research for my brother-in-law who is a descendent of Ebenezer and Grace Healy. The line goes like this: Ebenezer Healy & Grace Bullen, Comfort Healy & Abigail Allan, Jeremiah Healy & Martha Shurt Liffe, Harvey Healy & Mary Pinckney, John Harvey Haley & Julia Clairmont. John and Julia had a daughter Marguerite Anna Haley who married a Walter Forsyth, they had a son Alvin Berton Forsyth who married Helena Goertzen, they have a son Karl Forsyth (who is my brother-in-law). I am looking for information on this line of the family if you have any. Escpecially any information on Julia Clairmont and John Harvey Haley. Story has it that John Harvey Haley possibly had an affair with a Miqmak native woman (possibly their maid) and that they had a daughter - Marguerite Anna who was raised by John and Julia. I think this an interesting story, apparently it has been passed down thru the generations to my brother-in-law, and we are all interested in finding out if this is true or not as this would greatly affect his family line. Also, would you know if the Haley family is a descendent of the Mayflower? Thanks

Specifically, I am interested in Charles Joseph Belliveau and Marguerite Bastarache, married 20 January 1755. They were deported to Massachusetts that summer but returned to Pubnico in 1766. They had a daughter, Anne Marguerite Belliveau who married Charles-Amand Babin. Research indicates that Anne or Anne Marguerite may have been aboriginal (mi'kmaq or Penobscot.) I would appreciate receiving any information on this topic you might have. Thanks.
