He was born in Sandford, Yarmouth County, Nova Scotia in 1890, the son of John W. Durkee (b. 1866) and Annie SHAW (b. 1866), the daughter of Stephen and Rachael Shaw. The records of the Society of Genealogy of Durkee indicate that John and Annie had four children: Herman Frederick Durkee - Born 1885 - Sandford - Married Florence HARRIS - 1908 Yarmouth Roy Douglas Durkee - Born 1892 [sic] - Sandford - Married Maud JEFFERY - 1917 Peabody, Massachusetts Clifford Sidney Durkee - Born 1895 - Sandford - Married Edna Beatrice BAIN - 1918 Chegoggin, Yarmouth County Lillian Durkee - Born @ 1898 - Yarmouth County - Married Delbert TROTT - The earliest record I have is the 1891 census for Centre Town Yarmouth. Hi, I am looking to fill in some missing branches of the Kehoe family tree's extended families. Would love to hear from anyone who thinks they may be connected. Luke KEHOE (KEOGH)) 1787-1859 b. in Ireland, his death notice says Wexford, father possibly named James who was hung after the 1798 Rebellion in Ireland. Luke was Roman Catholic, a farmer and died in Bell Neck, Argyle Township, Yarmouth Co. He liked his rum! Luke married Phoebe HURLBURT, 1785-1891 d/o Titus and Sarah (LEONARD) She was b. and d. in Yarmouth Co. The HURLBURTS were Protestant, a Loyalist family. Luke and Phoebe Kehoe's 8 Protestant children were: 1. James S. KEHOE 1825-1878 b. in Bell Neck, Argyle Township d. in Swampscott, Mass., a fisherman. Some Yarmouth Genealogies have him dying unmarried, without children. I have found, however, that he did marry and had 8 children James married Catherine Campbell MARSHALL 1824-1918 d/o Edward & Mary (MURPHY) MARSHALL, granddaughter of MP Samuel and Sarah (SHELDON) MARSHALL. Catherine was b. in Yarmouth, d. in Lynn, Massachusetts. Burial Swampscott Cemetery, Essex Co., Massachusetts 2. Mary G. KEHOE b. circa 1826 in Bell Neck, d. after 1860 Mary married James F. GRAY, s/o James and Sarah (MANGHAM) GRAY 3. Julia KEHOE 1829-after 1910 b. in Bell Neck Julia married Ezra RANKIN, s/o Archibald and Nancy Ann (GRAY) RANKIN, Does anyone have Nancy Gray's parents? 4. Dennis KEHOE b. abt 1830. Went to Australia and married ______ _______ there. 5. John KEHOE, b. 1830 d. after 1911 b. in Bell Neck, Argyle Township, died in (probably) Gavelton. John married Ruth Ellen (GOODWIN )(FROST) FROST, b. 1833-d. about 1905, adopted d/o John and Lucretia (SABINE) FROST and widow of Nathaniel FROST. Her biological GOODWIN parents are unknown to me. Does anyone have them? 6. William KEHOE, 1833-1904, b. in Bell Neck, Argyle Township, died in a soldier's home in Sawtelle, Los Angeles Co., California, a civil war veteran. William married Naomi Jane HAMILTON, 1831-1856, d/o David HAMILTON, possibly David O. and Mary Lydia (GAVEL) HAMILTON. Naomi was born in Yarmouth and died in Swampscott, Massachusetts. 7. Phoebe Jane KEHOE, b. about 1835, Argyle Township, burial Cheboque (Town Point) Cemetery, Yarmouth Co. Phoebe married Israel MacKINNON, s/o Ranald and Mary (ALLEN) MacKINNON 8. Luke KEHOE, b. abt 1838, possibly in Connecticut. d. 1913, Yarmouth, burial in Cheggogin Cemetery. Luke married Mary LAMBERT, d/o James and Nancy (SPINKS) Lambert, b. 1845 in Yarmouth, died 1926 in Rutland, Worcester Co., Massachusetts. Burial with her son Frederick Alden KEHOE and his two wives in Rural Cemetery, Rutland, Massachusetts. Thanks for your time. Happy Valentine's Day, Bonnie Kehoe-Gove

List I need help with Keith Patterson Allen. I have no dates on him. He may have had brothers Jud, Arthur and Elmer; said to be sons of Mannaseh, b. c-1840 and Anne (Eldridge) Allen of Yarmouth Co. It is also said he married Anna Lydia Jeffery (1890-1986) d/o James Fremont Jeffery (1867-1950) who m. 1888 Alva Morrell Allen (1866-1950) It is also said that Anna married Earle Keith Gates and had a son Earle Keith Jr. in 1929. I am looking for confirmation as to whether Anna married Keith Patterson Allen, and who his father was . Some say he was possibly the grand son instead of son of Manasseh Allen. Thanks for any info on Keith P. Allen Bernice Allen
