Have info on Digby Robicheau/Robichaud Line and a lot of Moulaisons, and LeBlancs but have never been able to place the photo of this man in the line. Anyone know anything about "Arthur"? Mac

Hi, I am seeking the parents of Sarah Corning, a nurse from the Yarmouth area who was responsible for saving Armenian orphans in 1921/22. Her birth date would be nice also. Thank you so much for your help. Glynda L. Churchill

Hurlbert, fell asleep in Jesus aged 69 years. Our sister's Christian life was true and beautiful. Her piety was of that quiet, unobstrusive character whose influence in the home and community is of the most wholesome kind. The memory of such a life will linger as a sweet fragance. She leaves a husband, five sons and two daughters to mourn the loss of a kind, loving wife and mother. The funeral service took place at the home, and many gathered to pay their tribute of respect to the departed and sympathize with the bereaved. >From the Baptist paper: Messenger and Visitor: 1897: Dec. 22nd issue

As mentioned the other day, this list has just migrated to "Mailman," the new mailing list system at RootsWeb. Most changes will be hardly noticeable to you as a subscriber and fairly subtle, but the most obvious one will be to those of you who were subscribed in BOTH list mode as well as digest mode. Mailman does not support both modes to the same subscription address, so you are now subscribed only in list mode. If you want to subscribe to digest as well, then you will have to subscribe yourself using an alternate e-mail address. Those of you in ONLY list or digest mode are still subscribed as you were under the old system. Also, there is a brand new list just started for the purpose of asking questions and learning about the new system if you are interested in joining. I am a subscriber as well, but be forwarned that as you might expect it is VERY busy right now, so keep that in mind if you subscribe. You can send the usual "subscribe" message to: list-update-l-request@rootsweb.com for list mode or list-update-d-request@rootsweb.com for digest mode If you have any questions about the new system, that is the best place to ask them. You can also ask me off list if you wish, and I will always respond if I can, but please understand that even though I was one of the BETA testers, I am also learning the new system myself. David E. As many of you may already know, RootsWeb is in the transition phase of changing over to a brand new e-mail system called "Mailman," but what you did not know is that this list was supposed to make the migration to the new system today. We are now due to make the change tomorrow, with all 30,000 or so RW lists due to follow in stages over the next couple of weeks. From the standpoint of a subscriber, you will see little real difference in the mail because most of the procedures you are used to will be the same or very similar. As soon as the list has migrated to the new system, they will send me some information to forward to you that will include an online tutorial for you to use in learning what you need to know about the new system. I was one of the BETA testers for it so know a little about it, but rather than flood me with questions please give the tutorial a try first. If you write to me I will always try to respond, but please understand that I have a good number of lists that I am responsible for, so if you multiply that by several subscribers each then you can see why I say that I may or may not be able to respond to everyone. As mentioned above, we are scheduled now to make the change tomorrow sometime, so you will hear from me further as soon as it happens with some information to help you use the new system more effectively. My understanding was that it did burn down. The parish resituated to the hill on Albert Street. This explains why the old cemetery is near the golf course. Your Irish relatives are probably there. My father used to walk down to the cemetery from center town and sit and say prayers for all that were buried there as it seemed at the time that the parish had forgotton about the cemetery. He "suggested" that the cemetery was worthy of care. I last visited it with him about twenty years ago. There seemed to be more stones then and in their original places. The McLaughlins are buried there. The circular stained glass window above the altar at St. Ambrose Church on Albert St. was donated by the McLaughlin family.
