My Thankful Smith m Samuel Scott of Machias, Maine, c1775 (based on the birthdate of their first child, b Machias 23 Aug 1776). Assuming she was about 18 at the time of her marriage, that would put her birth date c1767. Their last child was b Machias 27 May 1797. I do not know her death date (or anything else about her, for that matter). Samuel and Thankful lived briefly in Dennysville, where their 6th child was born. There was a Smith family there, originally from Braintree, MA (from whom I also descend -- unrelated, as far as I know, to the Barrington, NS-Chatham, MA, Smiths). Perhaps Thankful is related to that Smith family. David
