Dear List, Has anyone on the list come across the name of Corporal Richard Moorfield of Shelburne? He was disbanded in New York from the 17th Light Dragoons and obtained a town lot and a water lot in Shelburne where he, his wife, and daughter, settled in 1783. They were among the passengers on the vessel, 'L'Abbondance.' In 1784 the Moorfields removed to Bedeque, P.E.I., where they had been given a grant of 200 acres. I can find no record of what became of the Shelburne property. There are no deeds on file regarding it. Any ideas? Regards, George Sanborn
