May 24 1793 in Thurso, Caithiness, Scotland. David was a farmer and setteled on the East Jordon N.S. David McKay married Janet McPherson, dau. of Lachlan and Elizabeth (Urquhart) McPherson, b., April 6, 1799 I East Jordan. N.S. Lachlan and Elizabeth McPherson were born in Scotland. They owned land on the east side of the Jordan River. David and Janet’s son Peter McPherson McKay b., Feb 21 1832, m., Deborah Grovestine b., Jan 27, 1830. Margaret Janet (Jane) McKay b., July 1856 m. Thomas Doane (Jones) Swansburg. Jane is the gggrandmother I mentioned in the previous message. My oldest living McKay relative today is Muriel Mackay (In her Nineties) living in Shelburne, N.S. /R Stephen Yongsan Garrison, Seoul, Republic Of Korea
