Thanks to some very kind assistance and helpful suggestions received from other members of this list, I have now been able to confirm that the David Doleman who appeared as a resident of Lockeport in the 1881 census was the son of John Doleman and Elizabeth Catherine Pride, married Catherine Lloyd on 16 December 1866, died in 1898, and is buried in Osbourne Cemetery. I therefore have no reason to believe he is the same person married in Sydney in 1850, or has any connection with the Doleman family resident near Sydney until the 1850's.
