His father was Daniel Jeans who was one of three butchers in Shelburne. Supposedly, Daniel received a King's Bounty in Shelburne (1786). It is likely Daniel was a United Empire Loyalist. We believe his other son was named Isaac (Isaac married an Isabella). In addition to information on Andrew, we are interested in information on Daniel Jeans (Jaynes, Jayne, Jean, etc)

My connnection to it is that my mother was a Blades, d/o John Lester Blades, a direct descendant of Henry Blades/Adams. Mike Blades is my first cousin, son of my mother's brother, Walter and he is a professor of Chemistry at UBC and I have his e-mail as blades@chem.ubc.ca, but he is only available from Sept to Apr at this address. The rest of the time he is travelling, writing papers and so forth. I am not aware that he has a personal e-mail address. It has been a bit since I was in contact with him. While I have you here, I do have a question and that is - is there any proof that the Adams family were part or full Micmac natives?? If so, I would like to prove it and if not, well, it was worth a try. My mother did have a bit of the original land grant at Pubnico, but do not know what happened to it. Regards, Elizabeth Barclay-Lapointe

First of all, if you are on a lot of lists, I have sent this to more then one, just delete if it comes to you more than once, and I apologize for that. I just want to make sure EVERYONE sees this message cause I'm afraid if I keep hitting my head against this brick wall, something terrible is going to happen to me. I got a great response when I said I was coming to NS in August, and thanks to everyone who gave me suggestions. I now would like a bit more help, pleeeeeeeeeeeease. I need to know specifically where to look for the following documents, if they even exist. Document Date Location Name Birth Certificate 09/15/1900 Antigonish Avernia May Falt Marriage Certificate 11/17/1897 Bayfield Catherine McLean Joseph Falt Catherine Irish Marriage Certificate 01/28/1877 Unknown James McLean Birth Certificate 1822 Bayfield Catherine Irish Birth Certificate 12/14/1800 Unknown Catherine Keenan Birth Certificate 12/14/1800 Marriage Certificate 1826 or 1832 Bayfield Catherine Keenan Levi Irish Marriage Certificate Prior to 1826 Unknown Catherine Keenan Unknown Carroll My concerns are Catharine Keenan appears to have married 2 times, and has children by both marriages. I need to know if an adoption was done, and if there was, can we get their names, and info. I'm hoping that I find this info when I get there, so I can move onto another chapter in this kooky family of mine. Thanks in advance, Barbara
