For some time now, I have had some ancestors from "Barrington" as well as "Barrington Head" in Shelburne County, all the same families. It has finally gotten me curious enough to ask if the two could be the same place. I have recorded them as given by the source, but are they in fact two separate places? I do not want to change the place name without knowing, but the other side of the coin is that I also want my information to be accurate. I would appreciate any help offered. David E. He was originally from Staffordshire England. His son William b.june 12 1768 married Elizabeth Nickerson Jan. 28 1794 in N.S. This is the Chetwynd line that I am a decendent of. Looking for information about Edward D. Bray (might be Eleazer D. Bray), born in Yarmouth, NS in late 1700s. He was apparently the captain of a British privateer in the War of 1812. He was issued a marriage bond at Shelburne NS on 12 October 1816 with the widow Mrs. Cox. Any help appreciated. Michael Christie

(I suspect this is meant to be Lavinia) Nathan Doane is a name probably from the Roseway-Shelburne area Doane family. If you check the Doane Family Genealogy by A. A.
