    1. [NSShelburne] Surname Randall
    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Randall Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/YOC.2ACE/805 Message Board Post: I'm seeking any possible connection of the surname Randall from Shelburne Co. to Lunenburg or Queens Counties. "In Simeon Perkins Diary we find a footnote to the entry of 30 Jan.,1802 that says that Nathan Randall was born in 1763 and was a Loyalist from Virginia, one of a family that came to Shelburne, and that he moved to Liverpool as a shipbuilder, and died 22 December 1840 at Brookfield, Queens County. Another footnote to the entry of 22 Mar. 1797 says that Jacob Randall was also in Liverpool and had built his house there that year. A note to the entry of 9 January 1804 says that Jacob was probably also a Virginia Loyalist who came to NS via Shelburne. Perkins Diary of 30 Oct 1811 mentions that Nathan Randall and his three sons and an apprentice were at work on a vessel named the Lark. The History of the County of Lunenburg by Mather Byles DesBrisay, Judge of the County Courts, and Member of the Historical Society of Nova Scotia, Second Edition, 1895, states, on page 477 - Vessels built at Bridgewater : By Nathan Randall - Barques Josephine Kathleen, brigantine Defiance. I believe that these Randall's who came to Lunenburg County are my ancestors, but I need a documented connection. Anyone who may have run across these names, or others, such as Joseph Randall, born September 1, 1795, in Nova Scotia, and who had at least two brothers, James I and William, and at least rwo daughters, Isabell and Minirva, please tell me what you have found. With thanks Jerry Randall in Amherst, NS

It is through Constance and Nicholas Snow's son Mark that we part in the lineage. Mine is like this: Mark Snow m Anna Cooke their daughter Anna Snow m Eldad Atwood their daughter m Anna Atwood m William Nickerson their son Eldad Nickerson m Mary Cahoon. All of the above is documented by the Mayflower Assoc. I have to come up with document proof from Eldad Nickerson and Mary Cahoon's daughter Naomi Nickerson m Robert Spears on down to myself. The Spears moved from Shelburne to Whitehead. Have you gone to the Mayflower Association on the internet? They give you a lot of information. Yes to your question on what is already documented you don't have to prove. My job is cut out for me trying to prove and get documents for my Canadian family.
