I don't believe we have any Lloyds our side. my father Francis (son of William and Alice Firth) is the first cousin of Warren Harding residing at Enslows Point Jordan Falls. Warren's mother Pearl was a Firth and there is a marriage to Lloyds there I believe. My grandmother Alice. was related to Mildred (Firth) Bower and the many Firths on that line. Was it yourself that Judith (Reed) Brailey contacted before her tragic death ? Judith lived in Hanson and her grandmother Mabel was Alice's sister but Judith was always eager to search out the Reid side of her ancestry. My aunt Doris (she had taught in Shelburne for many years) had given us much info on the Firths and Warren can happily advise on Hardings for quite a bit. According to Joan: Matilda Ann Reid married Robert Bower (John, Charles, Adam) on 26 May, 1850. Matilda Ann Reid was born 8 Sept, 1834 "at Sea" while her parents James Reid and Matilda Porter were emigrating form Ireland to Montreal. Matilda's brother Thomas S. Reid also married into the Bower family. If you don't have a copy of Joan Harris Crise's Kith and Kin of Adam Bower, it's available through the Shelburne County Genealogical Society. Joan has done a incredible amount of research into the Bower family and is a definate source of key imformation.
