In the 1888 Vital Statistics from N.B. Newspapers, Vol. 70, The Daily Telegraph, Saint John (3-Oct-1888), entry number 518 says Margery HAYES w/o Benjmain HAYES, age 67, died. It also says 24th ult. but I don't know what that means. Haven't researched in NS before and don't know where to look to see if she is buried in Milton, where I would look to get proof, death certificate, etc. Help! Thanks!

So the date she died was 24 Sep 1888. Her death should be in the Queens County Death Register which is on a Family History Library microfilm. Look at: http://www.familysearch.org/Eng/Library/FHLC/frameset_fhlc.asp and do a place search, Nova Scotia and go to Topic 123. bob gillis
