I am researching my Parks Family Genealogy, and have traced family to Guysborough County, Nova Scotia. Recently, I have found information that indicates the Parks family was in the Lunenburg area early on. Would Ppreciate any information on the Parks family. Marcia Parks

All you tell us is that you have Parks in Guysborough but give us no given names or dates and ask for information on the Lunenburg Parks. This is not the way to ask for information. Give us names, dates and locations and where you have looked etc. Two brothers, James and John Park, settled in New Dublin Twp, Lunenburg County 1760 - 1770. A third Park, Matthew, also settled in Lunenburg County about the same time. >From the 1881 Canada Census CD, the oldest member of the Parks clan from Milford, Guysborough is a Daniel born about 1799. In the Parks Family 1770 - 1987, pub 1987, by Mombouquette and Parks covering the descendants of James and John there is no Daniel born about 1799. However in Don Shankle's Downeast Lunenburg BMD's at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~downeast/ I find: PARKS,Daniel,Born 1802-05-03,Bap 1802-09-03,DRL,William & Magdalene,,sponsors Chris Born & wife. Look there for more info and do a Google search on Park +nova. bob gillis
