Emmanuel was one of 13 children born to John Whynot and Eliza Krauss. Emmanuel was born about 1837 and died at Danesville,N.S. on March 12,1923. Ruth Ann (Pentz) Whynot was born June 20,1838 and died Oct. 25,1912. Since my records are incomplete, to date I have recorded 14 children for Emmanuel & Ruth - 1.Allen William Whynot born 1860 died Sept. 1,1945 2.David Whynot born 1861 3.Elizabeth "Bessie" Whynot born 1862 (married 1885 to James A. Baker of the Lahave Islands) 4.Nathaniel Whynot born 1865 5.Eliza Ann Whynot born 1869 6.Annastasia Whynot born Nov. 17,1870 died March 9,1958 (married Allen Connolly) 7.Mary Whynot born 1872 (married Everdeen Nauss) 8.Bradford Whynot born 1873 died May 9,1895 9.Hannah Whynot born 1871 died Nov.1972 (married to Bradford Hatt on May 23,1896) 10.Laura Grace Whynot born April 10,1878 died Aug. 9,1970 (married Sept. 4,1901 to John William Weagle) 11.Salome Whynot born 1879 (married Oct. 16,1896 to James Freeman Roy) 12.Arthur B. Whynot born June 21,1880 died May 17,1947 13.Percy Whynot born 1885 14.William Whynot born Sept. 20,1882 I have more on the entire family...the children of the 14 mentioned above, grandchildren,etc.... One last thing is that Emmanuel operated the "Half Way House" in Danesville where the stagecoach for Liverpool to Bridgewater would stop and the passengers would stay the night before continuing their trip the next day.
