To all: To date I have not had any replies -- so am re-posting! ----------- Ever since I started Loyalist research, I have always had one leading question, which has yet to be answered:- "What was the name(s) of the ship or boat(s) which brought members of the 76th Regiment of Foot to Port Roseway/Shelburne where they landed Nov. 5, 1783". I have names of all, original grants of land and family data. The regiment was disbanded in New York City - with the bulk of the regiment coming to Shelburne. The official disbandment was later in England - then re-commissioned.. Some who had original land grants at Gunning Cove, then Port Joli, included Robert Innes(s), Peter Fisher, Donald MacKay, many others, plus my ancestor Finlay McIntosh. A list of passengers should contain names of wives and children, as some were born while regiment members were imprisoned in Virginia from 1781 to 1783.
