His first wife was Lillian Crouse actually from Italy Cross, Lunenburg Co. They lived in Port LaTour and had 2 children, Dorothy Mae and a son. However within a span of 6 months, the little girl aged about 4 died of diptheria, Lillian died and then the little boy. Fred subsequently married Mary Mildred "Basheba" Snow, moved to Brooklyn, Queens Co where he worked for Bowater Mersey, had 3 children and died in June 1967.
