If you check the Liverpool Township Records and Rev John Payzants Marriage records you will find that on Dec 31, 1815 John Mckinney (Mckenne) married Elizabeth Cohoon in Liverpool. These folks were my GGG grandparents. These records also indicate that John's parents were John and Rebecca (Lovitt) Mckinney of Yarmouth. The last will and testament of John Mckenne dated 1811, indicates they had 6 children, Jonathan, William, Henry, John, Sophia, and Clarissa. Ranald Mckinnon is no relative of ours. He came to NS from Scotland with the 77th Mongomery Highlanders and took a land grant at Chebogue. Our ancestors are Irish. I am busy these days hosting the Yarmouth County GenWeb project. Bob.
