Giffin, Gary Tue, 11 Jun 2002 Quesnel Observer, Quesnel, B.C. It is with deepest sorrow that we mourn the passing of Gary Giffin, a fallen firefighter. Born May 1, 1971 in Liverpool, Nova Scotia, he was taken from us after a tragic accident June 4, 2002 passing away at the University of Alberta Hospital on June 11, 2002. His memory was honored Wednesday, June 19, 2002 at 2:00 pm at the Fort Nelson Rec Centre. Gary lived life with such enthusiasm that it was impossible not to share his hopes and dreams with him. The ups and downs of life were just annoyances easily overcome and to be forgotten quickly. Everything that Gary did in his life added more fuel to his fire of life. He leaves behind his fiancee Jeanie Kenneway, his parents Stan and Shirley Giffin of Sable River, Nova Scotia, sisters Dawn Marie Davies (Mark and nephew Shawn) of Calgary, Alberta, June Giffin-Martin (Maurice and nephews Jeremy, Jarad and niece Lindy) of Sable River, Nova Scotia and an uncountable number of friends. Gary left his mark on life by reaching for his dreams and sharing them with those he loved. He will be missed from our lives, but will never be forgotten. A memorial service will take place in Sable River, Nova Scotia in July.
