Thomas Coumans(born 1794) may be his brother. Thomas Coumans married Abigail Pride on Jan 8, 1824 in Liverpool, Queen County, NS. I do not know where. The marriage record should list Thomas Coumans parents and further, whether any other Coumans' family members were present.
