To all:- The SSGS "room" seems to be hidden at the top of a building. Very possibly the businesses of Lunenburg do not realize a larger facility could bring more business for them. In Liverpool, the PERKINS HOUSE was the home of Simeon Perkins, designated as historical -- and there must be some places in Lunenburg that fall into that category -- The family of Thomas H. Raddall donated money to add a room plus contents of Tom Raddall's den -- his books are also sold there. I am proud I proofread some of his early books -- also he did not live in Halifax, as printed on his books, but Liverpool. Rather than hope for gifts of money, volunteers could assist SSGS -- for example, tickets are now being sold on a quilt. An afternoon tea is planned for August. It takes work! Muriel M.
