I'm considering the possibility that some of its manpower was drawn from Hamilton estates in the north-west of Ireland ..... which would explain how strands of my family came to the Northumberland Strait in N.     3. Are you related to the Hamilton's of the Hamilton Mill in Pictou County? I wasn't paying much attention but just noticed the name Hamilton. I had blankets from that mill that I gave to a friend as she is related. If you are the same family, I could contact her for you.
