Dear Bill: This death certificate is here on the new Archives site- Year 1953- Book 1953-Page 1652. He died after falling and fracturing his hip. He was a resident of the okld Pictou County Home which was a "forerunner" of homes for seniors- used to visit there every year wiith Brownies and Guides at Christmas. My mom was the leader and she took us there to perform our Christmas Candlelight Service for the guests. It says he was a retired storekeeper - a confectionary store- and the death certificate was signed by his niece Jean M. Mac leod- who I am assuming was one of my former teachers in town.His father was born in centredale here in Pictou County.
