I'm aware of only a few lines of MacLeans that include the given name "Thomas" though. One of them is found in eastern CT (and the naming patterns are so similar... this line even contains another Tom Maclean born in 1906). I always consider that "any" Thomas from 1800-present in a MacLean line "might" be potentially related (if distantly) due to naming patterns. Our name is spelled MacLean or McLean with discrepancies in spelling found even between siblings at times. My immediate line is the best documented (at least for the last three or four generations) and other MacLean/McLean connections have just been discovered this year that indicate I'm descended from three different Mac/McLean lines. I don't yet have much info on the others though..yet but do have a few tidbits saved here and there. One of those lines is a very very distant connection. Other first names in my most immediate line include Frank, George, James, William, Harold, Kenneth, and Edgar (recorded in some gov records as "Edward".) Girls are Margaret, Myrtle, Eleanor, Important Note: The author of this message may not be subscribed to this list.
