John McDonald with sons Duncan, Alexander, James, Hugh/Evan All were impressed when the ship Glasgow was boarded in NY harbour in Nov 1775 by HMS Asia. Hugh was the youngest son at 12yrs old. James was 21. Duncan the eldest, probably 25-28yrs His wife and 4 daughters were also among the impressed all were disbanded at Fort Edward, Windsor, Nova Scotia in Oct 1783 except Alexander who drowned at sea in Nov 1777 they settled on the East River of Pictou County after refusing the lands oferred in Rawdon & Douglas townships All are listed in the Rawdon and Douglas book by John V Duncanson which has genealogilcal compilations on many who were disbanded from the 84th 2nd batt If should you ever locate these individual service records, i would be interested in your forwarding me the information on how to get access to them and if the service records contain anty relevant and personal information (date of birth, etc) Regards, Ben MacDonald ---- Barb And Cal Craig <[email protected]> wrote: > Hello BEN: Thank You.
