To everyone who responded to my original query for information about Eric Armstrong. Today, I received Eric's obituary which was very interesting. It confirmed that as well as being a coal miner, Eric was also a musician who had composed and written songs as well writing several articles for newspapers and magazines. The obit also confirmed that his late wife was Martha Stevens who was killed in a car accident in August 1951. Eric who is buried at the MacLeod Cemetery, was survived by a son and a daughter.
