Keep in mind that the John MacDonald I'm talking about would have been a grandfather to Catherine MacDonald who was born in 1870. So "born c1800" is the right time frame. I have an account that I believe is accurate of Catherine's family that was written by my one of my great aunts. Catherine's great grandfather came from Scotland in about 1790, and was named Ruardidh Mhic Alastair Og MacDonald. The sequence I am looking at is: - Ruardidh Mhic Alastair Og - from Scotland in 1790 ggrandfather of Catherine - John MacDonald - grandfather of Catherine, married Catherine MacGillivray - Roderick (Rory) MacDonald - father of Catherine - Catherine MacDonald - born 1870 in Bailey's Brook The only person I have a DOB for here is Catherine.
