J. Norman Buckler BRIDGETOWN, Nov. 13 - The funeral services for the late J. Norman Buckler, of Dalhousie, was held Nov. 9, at All Saint Church. Services were conducted by Rev. Abraham Pitcher. Mr. Buckler was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Buckler, of West Dalhousie, where he was born 87 years ago. He was a descendent of one of the first families of English pioneers to settle in the district. Mr. Buckler was prominent in civic affairs, and was foremost in promoting a scheme for the West Dalhousie telephone system, and was for many years the secretary-treasurer of the telephone company. Besides his wife, Elizabeth, Mr. Buckler is survived by two sons and four daughters. They are John, Bridgewater: Arthur, Montreal; Kathleen (Mrs. DeBois Anderson), at home; Laura (Mrs. Lawrence Gillis). Dalhousie West; Alma (Mrs. Carmen Mills) and Lillian (Mrs. Ronald Longmire), both of Bridge-water.
