WELL-KNOWN FARMER DIES AT DALHOUSIE BRIDGETOWN, Dec. 8.-One of Dalhousie's most highly esteemed residents, Appleton Buckler passed away on Monday evening at his home there after an illness which for the past two weeks had been considered serious. He is survived by his wife (nee Mary Swift): one son, Ernest of Toronto, and by three daughters, Mrs. Harold Buckler, Dalhousie, Mrs. Raymond Rice, Kentville, and Miss Mona Buckler at home. He is also survived by a brother, Norman, of Dalhousie. Mr. Buckler was born in Dalhousie and had lived all his life there being engaged in farming and lumbering. Honorable and upright in all his dealings he will be greatly missed by his family and the community.
