My GG Grand father was Angus MacDonald (b. 1845 the son of Hugh b. 1804 d. 19 July 1871 & Flora MacDougall d. 15 July 1868, son of Martin Jr) who first married Mary Savage ( d. 20 Oct 1885 d/o Mark Savage from Albion Mines Mines) and had the following children: Mark (b. 1882 d. 1915 was my G Grandfather), Hugh (died unmarried), and Mary (who married Thomas Smith). Angus' second marriage was to Bella MacDonald (b. 1861) and had the following children: Catherine Marcella (who married John Joe Gillis) (b. 1894), Mary Kate (b. 1892), Estella (b. 1905), Hugh R (b.1900), John (b. 1901), and Ronald (b. 1898). I am also, looking into the descendants of my GG Granduncle Martin who first married Catherine Gillis (of Georgeville) and had the following children: Flora (m. Angus J. (Tulloch) MacDonald) , Mary, Margaret, Lucy (m. Alexander (Cleirach) MacDougall). Martin remarriage to Elizabeth MacKinnion (Bessie) and had the following children: Hugh Martin and Catherine MacDonald. My GG Grandfather also had the following brothers and sisters: Ronald, Roderick, Mary, Margaret (m. Archie Gillis of P.E.I.), Annie (m. Capt Archie MacDougall), Jennie/Janet (m. Archibald MacKenna), Sara (m. Mr. Gillis of Georgeville), Catherine (m. Clin MacIntosh). If anyone wants any information on the descendants of Angus' son Mark who moved to NewWaterford and married Catherine Campbell, please let me know. Any information or even better, relatives getting in touch with me would be fantastic. I will be driving through Nova Scotia this summer and would like the opportunity to meet any relatives.
