Mary (daughter ) married James Polley but later showed on census as Mary King with two children ,one my grandfather,shown as stepson to Samuel .My grandfather claimed to be adopted and didn't know his parents James and Mary show as parents on his marriage certificate also deceased. I am going to the local library in New Glasgow and see if I can find anything more . I do beleive there is some connection between the two Elliots and my grandfather .
