Hopefully I will find some information on WHY there are no Peterson's in Pictou Nova Scotia when my GGrandfather's records all say that is where he and his wife Annie Turnbull came from. Peterson is a rather straighforward name to spell. I am frusterated. I have struggled with Massachusettes records and their horrid spelling mistakes for months but the names were French and I understand lazy public employees who just couldn't bother to ask people how to spell their names.
