Rick: When you get back to your notes let me know what you find! BLANCHARD/BLANCHARD ROAD, Pictou County: This rural area is located about three miles north-west of Sutherland Lake. It was named after Col. Blanchard of Truro who cut out the road to gain access to some of his land. William Cummings was one of the early settlers. Donald (my GGGG Grandfather) and Alexander Fraser came from Scotland in 1805 and settled on Blanchards Road. They were followed by James McDonald who emigrated to Pictou in 1801 and settled here sometime later. Thanks, BILL DORGAN Hi Bill, I have Catherine, d/o Charles and Christena, b. Apr. 1865, marrying a George Fraser, b. Sep. 1864, of Little Harbour on 18 June 1885 in Westville. They had a daughter Lillian born in Dec 1881. I haven't found anythong more on this family. Perhaps this is why, if they moved to Rhode Island..... I do know that one of the Frasers I have been looking for moved away to Rhode Island but I don't recall which one at the moment.( I am out of town for the weekend and don't have my paper files.) The name Donald has not come up anywhere in my Fraser background to date. I don't recall where Blanchard is, I will have to look that one up. Sorry, I don't see a fit into my Frasers. Perhaps more work will show a link. I will see if I have anything that might be helpful when I return home. Cheers, Rick Cheers, Rick
