Is this a descendant of Matthew Dwyer? Married at Victoria, BC, Sep 24, 1872, James Dwyer to Miss Salina Jane Hayes. Nov 2, 1872 - Dispatch from San Juan Island, Washington Territory, announces the murder of William Fuller, a settler, formerly of Victoria, BC, in a most shocking manner. Fuller was an Englishman and a house joiner. In 1861 he built Cary Castle for late George Hunter Cary. In 1868 he is said to have had a difficulty with the Indians at San Juan, during which he killed several, and many here believe that his life has been taken by Indians to avenge those killed by him. They had six children: John (b.1798), Mary (b.1801), Nancy (b.1809), Peter (b.1811), Patrick (b.1813), and Matthew (b.1818). Trying to find out when he came from Ireland and where he came from in Ireland. Since John was born in Nova Scotia, it would seem he came over before 1798. Also looking for Sarah's maiden name.
